A delightful carving of “Old Mother Hubbards Dog” . From an early illustration to the poem the dog was wearing a monocle when reading the news! The dog is well carved with a blue eye and slightly strained face as if reading. The carving is mounted on a silver collar Hallmarked London 1892 and the shaft is a Malacca cane.
