A well executed carving of a young maiden in a forest setting resting against a tree stump – with raised hand and selecting some fruits of the forest. The detail to this carving is staggering the feet arms buttocks and hands are exquisite. The carving being over five inches tall is a good size and mounted with a gold band on a fine Malacca cane with ivory ferrule.
